Hitting Hurts: No Hit Zone Conference
This training is provided FREE for community partners. Contact hours may be available for qualifying participants.
In 2016, Masonic Children’s Hospital became the first No Hit Zone in the state of Minnesota. A No Hit Zone is an environment in which:
- No adult shall hit another adult
- No adult shall hit a child
- No child shall hit another child
- No child shall hit an adult
The purpose of the No Hit Zone is to create a safe environment for our patients, families, visitors, and staff.
On September 13, 2017 please join us to learn more about the impact of corporal punishment on children, current research, and the cultural context of corporal punishment.
We will hear from two national speakers, Dr. Elizabeth Gershoff and Dr. Lisa Fontes, and then have a panel discussion with UMMCH employees regarding the No Hit Zone.
