Fragile X Clinic

Description of Program:

Our clinic offers evaluation, consultation, treatment, and support for children and adults with fragile X syndrome and related conditions that are tailored to the specific needs of each individual patient. Our multidisciplinary team includes specialists in psychology/neuropsychology and developmental behavioral pediatrics, with internal referrals to neurology, speech/language, genetic counseling, psychiatry, and behavior consultation, and we offer referrals to other service providers as appropriate. We work together with specialists in the community to provide resources to improve functional outcomes and quality of life for children with fragile X syndrome and their families. We also provide services and/or referrals for fragile X-associated tremor/ataxia syndrome (FXTAS) and fragile X-associated primary ovarian insufficiency (FXPOI).

Our clinic participates in collaborative research and clinical efforts on fragile X across the US through the Fragile X Clinical and Research Consortium. Our goal is to provide services and resources supported by the latest medical, educational, and research knowledge available.
